In order to comply with the DHHS & Whitehorse Council requirements, the following updated guidelines have been put in place and our members have been notified by email. Relevant Gate Signage is in place. Blackburn Tennis Club will make available limited courts for “MEMBER PLAY ONLY” from Thursday 22nd October 2020. All competition tennis and formal social group tennis activities are not permitted. Supervising parents must stay outside of the court enclosures. Court access limited to members who:
Our Club Coach, Andrew Caldwell, is permitted to conduct private and semi-private coaching. The Club Coach is permitted to coach non-members. Andrew will also maintain records of attendance for his coaching clients. All Members & supervising parents have an important responsibility in complying with the above directions at all times. Following social distancing and safe hygiene protocols for the protection of all is expected. Tennis remains a very low risk non-contact sport but during the current COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that Members consider their own personal health circumstances carefully, prior to deciding whether to visit the club. As always, we remind Club Members using the clubs’ facilities - you do so at “your own risk”. Court/facility use will be monitored as best we can during the coming weeks and players not following the above directions will be asked to leave the site immediately. Club-House: The club-house remains closed for general use and toilet facilities will only be available for emergency use during supervised sessions – e.g. during coaching. Relevant hygiene signage has been placed in both toilet facilities and there are hand wash/sanitiser facilities available. The club-house is being professionally cleaned weekly and records of attendance of cleaners are available. Should the club be notified of a positive COVID-19 test related to a facility user/s, the Club will at all times respond to the directives of the DHHS (Victorian Government), Whitehorse Council and where applicable Tennis Victoria. The club will provide participant information records to assist authorities if required. Any resultant closure/cleaning will be conducted as directed by DHHS/WCC. Comments are closed.
